Please consider volunteering for ELA! To keep costs down and to ensure we have a safe and fun season, we need help from our parent volunteers. Some volunteer positions, like assistant coaches, even come with registration reimbursement.
Volunteer Positions Available (you can also notify us of your interest in the parent/guardian section of this registration):
1) Parent Coaches: If you would like to volunteer as a Parent Coach on your player’s team, please contact our Director of Boys Coaching, Steen Moeller, at boyscoaching@edinalacrosse.com. You may be able to receive a reimbursement towards your registration fee upon completion of the season (please visit ELA Parent Coach Discounts and Reimbursements Policy for more information.)
Lacrosse experience is helpful, but not necessary. New volunteer coaches are paired with experienced coaches and trained as the season progresses. Note that there are limited coaching opportunities and ELA cannot guarantee a coaching position and coaching discount for every volunteer.
2) Team Managers: Team managers work with age level coordinators and coaches to communicate important information to your team such as schedule changes, team parent volunteer schedule, tournament information. You will also help coordinate fun team building activities and an end of season celebration. ELA will provide training.
3) Board Member: As players (and thus, their parents) age out of ELA, board positions become available. We always need parents who can help us coordinate the season and troubleshoot issues to ensure a safe and fun experience for all players. No lacrosse knowledge or experience is necessary! Board positions descriptions can be found here ELA Board Positions. Email president@edinalacrosse.com for information about open positions.
